Although some consider it to not be technically part of the Sunshine Coast, with its easy access from Caloundra and its ranking as the best course in Queensland, Bribie Island Golf Course must be included in this list. This course is a hidden treasure, built on natural sand dunes, offering all golfers a test of their skills. This is an 18 hole, par 72 championship course is open to the public, and also offers superb entertainment and dining in the clubhouse for a complete golfing experience.
The Hyatt Regency Coolum is the home to the Australian PGA Championship, making this resort course a must for any serious golfer. The course was designed by architect Robert Trent Jones Jr and is ranked in the top 50 list of Australian Golf Courses. The club has an 18 hole, par 72 course, and an extensive range of facilities with the latest in golf tuition, so you can brush up your skills and enjoy a fantastic course.
The Maleny Golf Club is not only award-winning but offers superb tranquillity. The natural environment of the course is bounded by the Obi Obi Creek and has a stunningly picturesque setting. This public course is often overlooked, but it is certainly one of the best in the area.

The Noosa Valley Country Club has been called “a golfing gem” by Australian Golf Digest. This beautiful course was the first course to be accepted into the ABC Open Garden Scheme. Noosa Valley has a reputation within the local community for its immaculate maintenance and beautiful scenery. Whether you want to tackle the par 72 course or simply enjoy the gardens, you’re sure of a good day.
As its name suggests, this golf club is nestled beneath Mount Coolum, providing a breathtaking backdrop as you cover this 18 hole, par 72 course. This is a relatively flat course and has water play for 12 of the holes. It is well regarded as one of the most popular and picturesque courses on the Sunshine Coast. The clubhouse is in an original Queenslander, yet offers all the facilities you may need, including conference rooms, bar, showers, and pokies.
Twin Waters Golf Club is ranked as one of the top six courses in the country and was designed by Peter Thomson, five times British Open champion and partner Mike Wolveridge. The 18 hole, par 72 course has a challenging layout and superb setting to provide an enjoyable game for the golfer at any playing level.
The Pacific Harbour Golf and Country Club employed environmentally friendly practices to construct this course to preserve the Bribie Island location. The course was designed by Ross Watson and employs a traditional Scottish links-style, so every hole is visually distinctive.

Noosa Springs Country Club is an 18-hole, par 72 jewel of a course set within the beautiful Noose National Park and Lake Weyba. You’ll play your way around forests and lakes that drift in and out of view. The popular resort of Noosa is just down the road if you want to combine golf with walking trails, shopping and fine dining.
